Alfonso will join AGM’s Director of Member Services, Jenn Lammers, for brown bag lunch. They will discuss financial statements and disclosures which provide a wealth of information about a nonprofit organization. The statements tell a story, but sometimes you have to do a little digging to unravel the tale. Many analysts focus their attention on the “numbers” parts of the financial statements, but do not spend enough time reading the footnotes. Before you dive into analyzing the numbers it is important to understand the accounting principles used to prepare the financial statements. This workshop will discuss those concepts and how they can shed light on the meaning of the numbers.
