Edelstein wraps holiday gifts and makes blankets

At the onset of 2018, we committed to taking part in five larger scale community service events to commemorate one per decade that we have been in business.  As we celebrated turning 50 this year, it was imperative to incorporate elements of giving back into our festivities.  Yesterday, we took part in our final 50th event.  We went to the Eliot Family Resource Center in Everett to wrap holiday gifts and to make no-sew fleece blankets.  We worked with the Massachusetts Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Children (MSPCC) to align a need in the community with our volunteered services.  The MSPCC is a nonprofit, ” dedicated to leadership in protecting and promoting the rights and well-being of children and families.”

In total our group of 25 volunteers wrapped more than 275 holiday gifts and made 13 fleece blankets.  The gifts and blankets will be distributed at an upcoming holiday party serving the needs of local children and families.  It was a wonderful way to round out our year of community service activities.

Thank you to all of our team members that volunteered and our partner co-chairs, Denis Higgins and Tim O’Connor.
