BOSTON (October 10, 2017) – Casey Blake, Marketing Manager of Edelstein & Company, LLP, has been named one of the “2017 Women to Watch” by the Massachusetts Society of CPAs (MSCPA). Casey will be honored as the first recipient of the Professional Associate Leader award at the 2017 MSCPA Women’s Leadership Summit on November 7 at the Westin Waterfront in Boston.

“While the Women to Watch awards have historically been given only to CPAs, the judging panel was so impressed with Casey’s nomination that we decided to create a new award category,” said Amy Pitter, President and CEO of the MSCPA. “We are so pleased to congratulate Casey as the first winner in our inaugural Professional Associate Leader category.”

This is the 9th year the MSCPA, with over 11,000 members, will be honoring women who have made “an outstanding contribution to the accounting profession, their community, place of employment and/or to the development of women as leaders.”

As Marketing Manager of Edelstein, Casey directs all firm-wide marketing initiatives including the development of industry strategic marketing plans, the management of website and social media content, and client educational programming and materials.

Casey supports the CPA profession as the chair of the MSCPA Marketing Committee, a Core Team Leader of the AGN Marketing Committee, and as a member of the Member Growth Committee for the Association for Accounting Marketing.

A graduate of Assumption College, Ms. Blake is also an active community leader. She is the Founder of a volunteer group that provides nail painting services to children undergoing treatment at Children’s Hospital and their family members, and serves as an executive committee member of the JW Brine III Foundation. In addition, she is also co-chair of the Edelstein Community Service Committee and serves on Edelstein’s Women’s Initiative committee.

Casey and her family live in Medford.
