Bill has been with the firm for close to 30 years.  He became a partner in 1988 and was named Managing Partner in 2007. Throughout his career, he has provided innovative solutions to small and midsize companies in a broad range of industries, including manufacturing, distribution and professional services. He specializes in Healthcare industry consulting.

Bill has recently been named to the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is a past chairman of the Society's Accountants Physician and Healthcare Committee. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Needham.

Scott B. Kaplowitch | CPA | Partner

Scott has been with Edelstein & Company since 1992 and was named a partner in January, 2001. He has a broad range of experience working with retailers, wholesalers, real estate and construction companies, venture capital funded start-ups, service companies and non-profit organizations. He has extensive experience in individual, trust, estate, partnership and corporate taxation.

Scott is a member of the Board of Directors and Finance Committee for the Jewish Community Center of the North Shore and the Jewish Federation of the North Shore.  He is also a member of the Boston Estate Planning Council.

Marc D. Bello | CPA/ABV, CVA, CFFA, MST | Partner

Marc specializes in performing business valuations in the context of marital dissolution, gift and estate taxation, dissenting shareholder actions, and stock options. He also works extensively providing litigation support services as an expert witness in the areas of valuation, forensic accounting, lost profits, business interruptions, economic damages and taxation. Marc is an instructor for the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA), and has been instrumental in the development of courses within their business valuation curriculum. Additionally, he regularly presents for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education. He is currently serving a three year term on the Valuation Credentialing Board for NACVA.

He began his career in public accounting Grant Thornton LLP in Boston and worked in private industry for an international public pharmaceutical company prior to joining Edelstein in 2002. He is a graduate of Ithaca College with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and Bentley University with a Master of Science degree in Taxation. He is a member of the American Institute of CPA's, the Massachusetts Society of CPA's, National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, and the Institute of Business Appraisers. He is an active member of the business valuation committee for the MSCPA. Within the community Marc serves on the Board of Directors of Camp Bauercrest and has actively participated in the Pan Mass Challenge for the past 11 years.

Alfonso A. Perillo | CPA, CFE, MSW | Partner

Alfonso has worked in public accounting for 11 years, 8 of them with Edelstein & Company. He specializes in providing auditing, review and taxation services to nonprofits, including private foundations. Additionally, he is a Certified Fraud Examiner, which enables him to provide his nonprofit clients with practical solutions to improving their internal controls and preventing fraud. Alfonso leads Edelstein's growing nonprofit practice.

Tim primarily works with small to mid-size, closely held, companies with sales ranging from $100,000 to as much as $60,000,000. He has worked with people to help them reach their corporate and financial goals by helping them to manage their business and their personal investments.

Tim's knowledge and experience has allowed him to represent clients before the Internal Revenue Service and the Massachusetts Department of Revenue during audits, tax disputes, appeals, and tax resolution.

Robert P. O'Connor | CPA, MST | Principal

Bob has more than 35 years of public accounting experience with extensive experience in assisting business clients in manufacturing, real estate development, general contracting and construction subcontractors, restaurant and hospitality, printing, advertising and various professional service entities.

He actively represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for individual and business entity tax audits, collection issues and problem resolution, coordinates financial and retirement planning for individuals, and assists client in family wealth transfers from generation to generation, protection of accumulated wealth and estate planning for individuals and their families.
